Project

Our project started in September 2020. We are 4 primary schools from Europe and we would like to evaluate and expand the media literacy of our schools. We want to work and learn from each other and with each other.

In the schoolyear 2020/2021 we created films. The school, the cultural and geographical characteristics, as well as the everyday life of each country, are presented in an age-appropriate manner through explanatory films and other film genres. It is not a documentary- it contains what our students are interested in. The videos are filmed in English for general understanding. Our videoclips will enable our pupils to recognize that there are many similarities but also differences in the lives of children in different European countries. The clips will be filmed in English for general understanding. This will serve to develop language skills in all countries since all participants learn English as a foreign language.

Due to the restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic, the project could not be completed as planned in the year 2022. School closures and the challenges of collaborative work during homeschooling were particularly difficult for elementary school children.

To ensure the successful completion of the second part of the project, we decided to extend the project’s duration. This provided us with an additional year to create an interactive dictionary dedicated to the main theme of the environment and environmental protection. The dictionary is available as an interactive document in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, and German.

We are proud to have created this extensive and multilingual dictionary, which is accessible not only to students but also to a wider audience. It is intended to promote understanding of environmental issues and strengthen awareness of environmental protection. We hope that despite the unforeseen obstacles, this project will make a positive contribution to education and raising awareness about environmental issues.
